Manufacturing & Chemical sector – The Indian Factories Act 1948 looks into the manufacturing process with or without power.

It includes all building premises wherein, or within the cartilage of which, steam, water, or any mechanical power is used to move or work any machinery employed in preparing, manufacturing, or finishing cotton, wool, hair, silk, flax, hemp, jute or tow.

It regulates the working conditions in factories, industries, regulate health, safety protocols, annual leave, women and children who work in factories are all protected under the enacted provisions of the Act.
